Dr Ketan Bavishi

Dr Ketan Bavishi graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Gujarat Indian in 1987, before becoming a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australia in 2008.

Dr Bavishi settled in Cairns in 2010 and has over 20 years’ experience in both clinical and laboratory activities including Haematosis and thrombosis. Transplantation, acute and chronic leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, thalassemia, and blood transfusions. Although retaining a broad haematological knowledge, Dr Bavishi has a special clinical interest in lymphoma, leukemia, and myeloproliferative disorders.

Apart from clinical works, Dr Bavishi also plays an active role in both teaching and research. He has been involved in many haematology research projects and has published his research internationally. Dr Bavishi has an ongoing passion and commitment in education and working with GPs to ensure integrated care for his patients.
