Dr Battaglia graduated in medicine from the University of Melbourne and completed his Fellowship Training and Post Graduate studies with the Victorian Liver Transplant Unit (Austin Hospital).
He has worked as a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist in Melbourne for 25 years, where his roles encompassed Medical Advisory Chairman at Knox Private Hospital for 6 years and Medical Director, Knox Private Hospital for 8 years.
Dr Battaglia has extensive experience in Gastroenterology including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and capsule endoscopy, as well as treating acute and chronic liver disease.
